CMKZ adds to its expertise by welcoming three new attorneys. Ying Fu, John Mavridis and Gabrielle Turcotte-Fraser have recently joined CMKZ and have strengthened our niche expertise in business and international trade law. Ying Fu is a foreign legal advisor and specializes in Chinese law. John Mavridis specializes in business and securities law, and Gabrielle Turcotte-Fraser specializes in litigation and international trade law.
With their cutting-edge knowledge in their respective fields, the three new lawyers are the embodiment of the new CMKZ motto: Advising globally, guiding locally.
CHINESE LAW
Ms. Ying Fu practiced law in China for more than 20 years, including founding (with her partner Beijing Ying He Law Firm) Winteam500, which now includes nearly 2,000 lawyers, before being admitted to the Bar of Quebec as a special foreign legal counsel. Specializing in Chinese Investment, Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring and Commercial Litigation, with the assistance of the CMKZ international legal team, she also assists clients in establishing their operations in Canada.
FINANCING AND SECURITIES
Mr. John Mavridis has more than 25 years of experience in business and securities law. Over the years, he has developed a practice in corporate finance, business reorganizations and securities law. He continues to represent private and public companies active in the fields of exploration and mining, as well as technology-based companies. He also assists reporting issuers registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers du Québec (AMF), and other Canadian securities regulators, to comply with their obligations.
LITIGATION
Ms. Gabrielle Turcotte-Fraser joined CMKZ after being admitted to the Bar of Quebec at the end of her articles with our firm. She specializes in commercial litigation and international trade law. Supporting CMKZ’s international legal team, she defends the interests of her local and foreign clients before various judicial and administrative bodies and advises them in the negotiation of contracts and the development of customized business strategies.
